MARKETING PLANNING

The planning process starts with the development (or confirmation) of an effective marketing strategy.

Before the marketing strategy is developed, it is vital to thoroughly review all relevant past marketing activity to evaluate which programs have been effective and why they were effective. During this phase, it is advisable to evaluate competitive efforts as well. Quantitative and qualitative analysis are heavily relied upon during the review process.

Good marketing strategy development requires the generation of multiple strategies that can be used to achieve the same goal. Marketing strategies should take into account product or service positioning, target audiences, communication strategy, price-value relationship, marketing mix, channels, budget levels, and the application of those budgets to specific target markets.

We can help in this process by identifying alternate strategies that should be evaluated in the planning process. We will help you decide upon the optimal strategy and then develop a fully detailed plan that outlines the following elements:

  • POSITIONING OR REPOSITIONING
  • BRANDING
  • COMMUNICATION STRATEGY
  • PRICING STRATEGY
  • SEGMENTATION
  • ELEMENTS OF THE MARKETING MIX (ADVERTISING, SALES PROMOTION, PRICING, ETC.)
  • BUDGETING
  • SALES & PROFIT PROJECTIONS
  • COMPETITIVE RESPONSE
  • TACTICAL PLAN OUTLINE

The planning process is time consuming and it pulls the business manager away from the day-to-day business. Using our resources to develop a well-orchestrated plan will allow your staff to stay focused on running your business. This optimizes the use of your time and gives you the best results for the time and money invested.

We would be glad to discuss your business needs and how Evans Consulting Group can help you develop your marketing plan.
